The Edith Glick Shoolman Children's Foundation was created by Edith Glick Shoolman (1904-2003) whose dream was to make a difference in the lives of children.

To fulfill this vision during her lifetime, Mrs. Shoolman, in partnership with her husband Eliot, supported a wide range of educational, recreational, environmental, Jewish and health initiatives. The Foundation, which was funded upon Mrs. Shoolman’s death, is dedicated to giving continued life to the philanthropic vision of the Shoolmans. Toward this end, the Foundation will support programs which the Trustees believe will foster the development of children with the intellectual, social and emotional skills necessary to achieve their full potential and become competent, happy and productive adults.

NOTE: As of February 2012, new unsolicited applications for funding will only be accepted from organizations which provide services in the New York City Metropolitan Area.
